The first ever NFR Playoff will have a total payout of $1 million and be held at the Puyallup Rodeo from Sept. 8-11.

The rodeo will feature 24 athletes in each event, the Top 23 in the NFR Playoff Series Standings as well as the winner of the inaugural NFR Open on July 13-16 in Pikes Peak.

The NFR Playoff Series is a new format for the rodeos formerly known as ProRodeo Tour events and the NFR Open has taken the place of the RAM National Circuit Finals. The season-long NFR Playoff Series is presented by Pendleton Whisky.

“We are proud to have the NFR Playoff as a part of the storied Puyallup Rodeo and it will offer a great payout for our athletes and crown NFR Playoff Series champions,” PRCA CEO Tom Glause said. “It will also play a huge factor in helping them secure berths for the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo.”

The NFR Playoff will be live and on demand on The Cowboy Channel and The Cowboy Channel+.
