Mike Mcginn Makes a Statement in Eastern Oregon.

Looking to qualify for his first National Finals Rodeo, Mcginn is closing in on the Top 15.

The Oregon cowboy, Mike Mcginn, is making a serious push toward his first National Finals Rodeo appearance. Over the weekend, Mcginn took the top spot at the Eastern Oregon Livestock Show & Rodeo with a clean 4.7-second run in the steer wrestling.

“This rodeo is kind of a ‘take care of business’ rodeo,” Mcginn said

Just 30 minutes from his hometown of Haines, Oregon, the win couldn’t have come at a better place or time. Ranked 21st in the PRCA World Standings heading into the weekend, Mcginn’s success has bumped him up to No. 18, putting him within striking distance of the Top 15.

As the season heats up, Mcginn is keeping his focus simple and steady: “It’s been a goal of mine for a long time to make the NFR, and going forward it’s just about making my run every time.”
