Mason Moody With Sights Set on Making First National Finals Rodeo in 2025

Last winter, Mason Moody was on a roll until an injury untimely brought his season to a sudden halt that he had a tough time coming back from.

Now in 2025, the 22-year-old bull rider is making a strong comeback, currently ranked number five in the world and is setting his sights on qualifying for his first trip National Finals Rodeo.

Moody has already banked $90,718 this season, thanks to standout performances at rodeos in Gladewater, Buffalo, Lakeside, and San Angelo. He’s also claimed two major championship titles at the San Angelo Xtreme Bulls and the Badlands Circuit Finals.

With the summer run now in full swing, Moody is focused on staying consistent and doing his job, ride by ride.

“That’s all you can do—expect to win every time,” Moody said. “Sometimes you fall short, but you’ve got to keep expecting to get better with every bull you get on. And when you draw those good ones, you’ve got to take advantage of them and not let them get you down.”
