Stetson Wright Picks Up Big Saddle Bronc Win in Ellensburg

Stetson Wright adds another win in the saddle bronc to his list for the 2022 season.

With a total of 178 on two head, he walks away from Ellensburg Rodeo with a championship title that he as been waiting on.

“It’s been awesome. I’ve been second here twice, I think, in the bronc riding so to get the win here is pretty special,” Wright said.

He matched up with Cypress Toddy in the Short Round to go 88.5 points while his Round 1 win came with an 89.5 aboard Major Huckleberry. Two outstandings broncs with one of the most extraordinary cowboys.

“The horse was really good and when she broke, she went right and ripped my head off so I was trying to keep going and keep spurring,” he said about Cypress Toddy.

He sums up all of his success at such a young age by saying he is the luckiest guy in the world. Meanwhile everyone else is calling him Superman in boots as he sits No. 2 in the World in the saddle bronc riding.
