WPRA Breakaway Standings Update, May 3: World Champion Jackie Crawford Dominates at No. 1

The Texas Swing has wrapped up, and the cowgirls in the breakaway roping made the most of the early season chances, achieving historic milestones and earning rewards along the way.

Take a look at the Top 20 ladies of the WPRA Breakaway World Standings.

1. Jackie Crawford, $79,363

World Champion Jackie Crawford holds the No. 1 spot in the WPRA Breakaway World Standings with $79,363 in total earnings. To kick start her season, Crawford secured a check for $9,125 at the Texas Circuit Finals Breakaway Roping. Crawford cinched the coveted RodeoHouston Breakaway Roping Title making up over $55,000 of her earnings. The San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo was also profitable for the cowgirls as she advanced into the Wildcard Round and ultimately picked up a check for $7,000.

2. Danielle Lowman, $63,465

Danielle Lowman made her presence known throughout the Texas Swing as she secured the win in both Fort Worth and San Antonio. Lowman set a new arena record at the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo with a 1.6-second run to add $24,750 to her earnings. Following her win in Fort Worth, Lowman dominated the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo, picking up another notable check worth $22,500. Lowman now reserves the No.2 position in the World Standings with $63,465 in total earnings.

3. Taylor Munsell, $53,340

Taylor Munsell pulled a check for just over $17,000 at RodeoHosuton and continued her success at Rodeo Austin where she secred the No.2 spot in the Average with 7.3 seconds on three head. Munsell added $9,758 to her earnings in Austin. The Red Bluff Round-Up is Munsell’s most recent success as she landed the No. 2 position with a 2.6-second run to take home over $3,000, bringing her total earnings to $53,340.

4. Shelby Boisjoli-Meged, $45,348

Reigning World Champion Shelby Boisjoli-Meged currently sits No. 4 in the World Standings with $45,348 in earnings. Meged advanced through to the Championship Round at Rodeo Houston, picking up checks along the way, adding $9,250 to her earnings. The cowgirl then locked in a check for $13,250 as she finished out in second place at the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo with a 1.7-second run in the Final Round. Meged followed up with a third-place check at Rodeo Austin, adding over $6,000 to her earnings.

5. Rickie Fanning, $37,728

Rickie Fanning set herself up for success at the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo as she cinched the No. 2 spot with a 1.9-second run in the Final Round, pulling a check for $16,500. Fanning took advantage of the money up for grabs in the Lone Star State as she added just under $5,000 to her earnings at the San Angelo Stock Show and Rodeo where she claimed third place in the Average with 8.3 seconds on three head.

6. Macy Young, $33,719

With a total of $33,719 in earnings, Macy Young is sitting No. 6 in the WRPA World Standings. A check for $23,833 was earned by Young at RodeoHouston, making up a good portion of the cowgirl’s earnings. Young secured $9,000 of her earnings in Houston in Super Series 4 alone as she secured in the No. 1 spot in all three Go-Rounds. Young’s most recent victory took place at Cave Creek as she cinched the win along with a check for $2,839.

7. Maddy Deerman, $31,455

Maddy Deerman is No. 7 in the World Standings as she collected notable earnings during the Texas Swing including a check for $14,250 at the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo as she stopped the clock in 1.7 seconds to split the No. 2 spot with Shelby Boisjoli-Meged. Deerman also secured a check at the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo as she advanced to the Semifinals, adding $6,350 to her earnings.

8. Bradi Good, $29,892

Bradi Good finished out in fourth place in the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo Finals as she stopped the clock in 2.3 seconds to pick up a check for a total of $8,500. Good advanced out of Super Series 2 at RodeoHouston and found herself in the Wildcard Round to pull a check for $4,250. Good has earned just under $30,000 this season heading into the Summer Run as she sits No. 8 in the World Standings.

9. Willow Wilson, $28,560

Willow Wilson sits inside the Top 10 with $28,560 in earnings as she picked up checks for over $6,350 at Rodeo Austin and RodeoHouston. Wilson captured the No. 2 spot in Loveland with an aggregate time of 10.2 seconds to collect earning just over $4,600.

10. TiAda Gray, $25,726

TiAda Gray accumulated the majority of her earnings at RodeoHouston as she picked up multiple Go-Round checks in Super Series 1. Gray advanced to the Championship Round, bringing her total earnings in Houston to $19,958 while securing her position inside the Top 15.

11. Addie Weil, $25,368

Addie Weil turned in one of her fastest runs of the season in Odessa, Texas where she claimed the title and a check $5,828. Weil capitalized at RodeoHouston as she advanced to the Semifinals, collecting a check for a total of $4,750. The Ada Breakaway Roping was also a success for the cowgirl as she cinched the win, bringing her total earnings to $25,368.

12. Jordan Jo Hollabaugh, $25,214

Jordan Jo Hollabaugh sits inside the Top 15 with $25,214 in total earnings. Hollabuagh secured fifth place at the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo to pick up a check for $5,500. Hollabaugh then claimed the No. 1 spot in Rounds 1 and 2 of Bracket 5 at the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo, collecting $4,750.

13. Tacy Webb, $24,924

Tacy Webb secured the win at Rodeo Austin with an aggragte time of 7.6 second on 3 head, taking home the title and a check for $8,913. Webb also placed in multiple rounds at the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo to cinch winning of $4,000. A 1.9-second run locked Webb into the top spot in Hempstead, securing an additional $3,384 and bringing in a total of $24,924.

14. Sarah Angelone, $23,319

Sarah Angelone advanced to the Semifinals at the San Antonio stock Show and Rodeo and picked up a check for $10,750. Angelone also picked up Go-Round checks at the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo as well as Rodeo Austin to accumulate $23,319 in earnings as she sits inside the Top 15.

15. Keslie Domer, $23,157

Kelsie Domer secured second place in the Finals and the Average at the San Angelo Stock Show and Rodeo to collect a check for $11,495. Domer tied for second place in the Average with Alli Masters as both cowgirls turned in an aggregate time of 7.2 seconds on three head. Domer is sitting at No. 15 in the WPRA World Standings with $23,157 in total earnings.

16. JJ Hampton, $22,747

JJ Hampton has collected multiple first place checks this season including Bellville, Los Fresnos and Huntsville. Hampton also picked up a check for $3,000 at the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo. She now sits just outside the Top 15 with $22,747 in earnings.

17. Martha Angelone, $21,821

Martha Angelone advanced to the Wildcard Round at RodeoHouston, picking up $5,250 along the way. Angelone also advanced at the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo out of Bracket 1, collecting $3,000 in earnings. With $21,821 in total earnings, Angelone is sitting at No.17 in the WPRA World Standings.

18. Josie Conner, $21,400

Josie Conner kicked off her season strong as she secured second place at the Texas Circuit Breakaway Finals, locking in a total of $3,318. Conner then moved on to the Texas Swing where she cinched the No. 6 position in the Average, picking up a check for $3,217. The Red Bluff Round-Up is Conner’s most recent success as she secured the win with a 2.5-second run to add $3,967 to her earnings as she sits No. 18 in the World.

19. Hali Williams, $20,417

Hali Williams tied for the top spot at the Hempstead Breakaway Roping with Tacy Webb as the cowgirls stopped the clock in 1.9 seconds. Hali took home a check for $3,384. Williams placed in Round 2 of Rodeo Austin to cinch a check for $3,754. Another win at the Hunstville Breakaway Roping aided in a position in the Top 20 with $20,417.

20. Hope Thompson, $20,375

Hope Thompson advanced out of Super Series 5 to to the Championship Round at RodeoHouston to secure a check for $12,500, making up a good portion of the cowgirl’s total earnings as she sits No. 20 in the WPRA World Standings with $20,375.
