Ty Bauerle is in the midst of a tight race for the No. 1 spot in the Resistol Rookie Race and after a successful weekend that only got faster, he is your Resistol Rookie Athlete of the Week.

Bauerle got a little momentum and ran with it. His Round 1 and 2 times were low and mid 5.0 seconds which was steady enough to keep him in the Average. It was in Round 3 that Bauerle picked up another gear to cash in.

The Texas steer wrestler bested his Round 2 time by a full second and a half in Round 3 when he stopped the clock at 4.3 seconds. That run would tie to split second-place in the Go-Round with National Finals Rodeo qualifier and your No. 5 bull dogger in the World, JD Struxness.

That same run would also bring Bauerle’s time on three head to 15.3 second to also split fourth in the Average with Struxness. Combined, his Go-Round and Average money would total over $4,000 to get him that much closer to taking over the Resistol Rookie Race.

Bauerle also sits inside the Top 25 in the World going into the Summer Run where there is plenty of money to be won. Bauerle is now a two-time Resistol Rookie Athlete of the Week.
