Stephanie Fryar Joins WSR Ahead of her Shot at $1 Million at Rodeo Corpus Christi

The barrel racer is one win away from the WCRA’s Triple Crown

This weekend in Corpus Christi, Texas, Stephanie Fryar will have an opportunity to win the WCRA’s Triple Crown and its $1 million payday.

The Texas barrel racer has already won Rodeo Carolina and the Stampede at the E this season on her horse Fast Frank and has done so in very different ways.

At Rodeo Carolina, it was a clean sweep while the event at the Lazy E came down to .001 seconds in the Finals.

“I think the biggest thing is just go run your race, if it’s God’s plan, it’ll all work out,” she said. “When it’s your time to win, God will make it happen.”

Athletes win the Triple Crown by winning three consecutive WCRA majors. Bareback rider R.C. Landingham is the only cowboy in history to do it.

“My main goal is just to go be smooth,” she said. “Let Frank do what he does best.”
