Format Announced for 2023 Cinch Playoffs

The format for the 2023 Cinch Playoffs Presented by Community Coffee has been announced.

Contestants in bareback riding, steer wrestling, team roping, saddle bronc riding, tie-down roping, bull riding, barrel racing and breakaway roping will accumulate points at each of the Top 60 paying rodeos this season, known as the NFR Playoff Series Rodeos.

The Top 24 contestants in the Playoff Series Standings will first compete in Puyallup, Washington with the Top 4 finishers from that event and the Top 8 in the Playoff Series Standings afterward moving on to Sioux Falls, South Dakota on the last weekend of the season, Sept. 28-30.

In Sioux Falls, the Top 12 will compete in Rounds 1 and 2 before it is narrowed down to 8 on aggregate. The Top 8 will compete with a clean slate round and the Top 4 will move on to a winner-take-all Short Round.

The payouts for each performance are projected to be as follows:

4th: $4,399
5th: $2,566
6th: $1,833

Final Four

1st: $16,355
2nd: $12,266
3rd: $8,177
4th: $4,077

So far, 12 of the NFR Playoff rodeos have already concluded.
