Friday, December 8th the 65th Wrangler National Finals Rodeo kicked off in Las Vegas.
As always in the rodeo world, the first round opened up with country artist Zach Top performing the National Anthem. Top is a Washington ranch kid who is revitalizing 90s country music.

Leighton Berry followed up an 83.5 point ride in round one in Reno with an 84.5 point ride in the second round. Berry now sits in fourth place on aggregate after the two rides.
It may be Waylon Bourgeois’s first appearance at the Reno Rodeo, but he is not letting the big atmosphere get to him. He went 86.5 points to take the lead in round one and tie the highest marked ride of the rodeo thus far.
