Zero In: Shad Mayfield Keeps The Momentum Going in 2024 with $6,000 Lead at No. 1

World Champion Tie-Down Roper Shad Mayfield is no stranger to No. 1 and he currently claims the top spot in the Tie-Down Roping World Standings with a lead of over $6,000 entering the first PRCA Playoff Rodeo of the year in Odessa, Texas.

Mayfield finished out the 2023 season at No. 3 in the World with $309,383, finishing behind Haven Meged and Riley Webb.

The Texas resident has secured nine checks on 12 runs thus far in the 2024 season and all of them have come in the Lone Star State. Mayfield’s biggest paydays came from the Texas Circuit Finals and Cook Rodeo Days as he made over $7,000 at both events.
