Ty Harris picked up some momentum on his California run that he brought back to Oklahoma for the Guymon Pioneer Days. Harris was 26.0 seconds on three head and all three of his runs were between 7.9 and 9.3 seconds to win the rodeo and Timed Event Athlete of the Week.

Staying steady was key for Harris in the Oklahoma panhandle. An 8.8 in Round 1 and a 9.3 in Round 3 landed him just out of the money while in Round 2 he stopped the clock at 7.9 seconds to finish fourth and cash in $2,252. Harris’ spot at the top of the Average added another $5,549 to his earnings.

Harris’ Guymon Pioneer Days win pushed him into the Top 15 in the PRCA World Standings with a total of $32,588 this season. In the past two weeks, he has risen 31 spots from No. 45 to No. 14.
