For the second night in a row, Stetson Wright hopped up off a bull and mimicked hitting a home run in celebration at Globe Life Field.
“They didn’t need to tell me a score to get me excited,” Wright said afterward.
Well, the score also got him excited. It was 88.5 points on the back of Powder River Rodeo’s Axel.

“I knew a lot about him; nobody had found a way to ride him yet, so I knew I needed to keep my hand shut and try hard,” he told ProRodeo.com. “I didn’t pay attention to the scoreboard.”
Wright now sits second in the world in the bull riding and first in the all-around. In the 12 Wrangler NFR rounds he has competed at in bull riding, Stetson Wright has won four of them and placed in three others.
Ky Hamilton remains No. 1 in the world after a gutty ride on Crossfire Cowboy for 81.5 points. Roscoe Jarboe was second in Friday night’s Go-Round with 84 points on Lonesome You. Sage Kimzey and Boudreaux Campbell both bucked off.
