NFR Rookie Bridger Anderson Splits Round Two with Two-Time World Champion Tyler Waguespack

In his second career NFR Go-Round, 22-year-old Bridger Anderson found himself sharing the winner’s circle with one of his mentors, Tyler Waguespack.

“It’s awesome, I’ve looked up to Tyler for a long time,” Anderson said. “From watching him at the NFR to getting to compete with him, in a way, it’s a dream come true.....It’s pretty great I got to split around with him, it’s kind of surreal.”

Both men stopped the clock at 3.8 second to tie for the win in Round Two and the fastest time of the rodeo in steer wrestling.

In addition to winning the Friday night’s Go-Round, Waguespack is also first in the average with 8.1 seconds on two head. Waguespack said he expects Saturday night’s smaller pen of steers to produce the best times all week.
