Catching Up with Team Ropers Nelson Wyatt and Levi Lord

As they look back at their 2020 rodeo season, No. 12 Header Nelson Wyatt and No. 12 Heeler Levi Lord talk about their rodeo roots, coming together as partners, how it felt to qualify for their first NFR, preparing mentally and physically for the Finals, the arena layout at Globe Life Field, and more.

Levi Lord is the son of SJ.B. Lord, a rodeo legend on the Badlands Circuit. On being able to share this accomplishment with his dad, Levi says, “My dad obviously had enough talent to make it over and over again and just had some things not work out, and then he had two kids and decided to stay around home and give us all the opportunities in the world we could ever dream of. He kind of sacrificed a little bit of his rodeo career to give us a chance, and now to see it come true and give him a little something to show for it.. me getting to the NFR, it’s a great feeling.”
