PBR’s Justin Felisko Talks Jess Lockwood and Cooper Davis Getting Drafted

History was made two weeks ago when the PBR held its first ever Team Series Draft in Arlington, Texas and today, all teams are full.

The eight teams selected their first five athletes at the Draft Party before they looked at free agents and then the Supplemental Draft started where the first two cowboys to be selected were none other than World Champions Jess Lockwood and Cooper Davis.

Lockwood and Davis committed to the Supplemental Draft since they could not commit to all 11 season events and as predicted, Oklahoma Freedom took Lockwood and Carolina Cowboys selected Davis.

“Some would say that maybe Jess Lockwood and Cooper Davis should have went into the regular draft but those two riders wanted to declare the partial availability and some teams, yeah they were frustrated by that, but look every rider had the choice… lots of games, lots of politics,” said PBR Analyst Justin Felisko.

He said it is going to make the PBR Team Series a lot of fun to watch at home as the eight teams battle it out before they head to Las Vegas for the PBR Team Series Finals.
