Nashville Stampede Head Coach Justin McBride Looking Forward to PBR Team Series & Elevating the Sport of Bull Riding

Justin McBride is fresh off of a PBR World Finals as an announcer and he takes on the new job of Head Coach for the Nashville Stampede in the PBR Team Series.

He says he has had a front row seat to most guys’ careers that he and the Nashville Stampede had to choose from on the night of the first ever PBR Team Series Draft.

“I’ve been really fortunate in that aspect, not only fortunate to get to watch and call great bull riding but to get to know a lot of these guys,” McBride said.

McBride and the Nashville Stampede ended up taking Kaique Pacheco as their Round 1 pick and they followed it up with Dener Barbosa, Ryan Dirteater, Manoelito De Souza and Joao Lucas to complete the first part of their team.

When asked why Kaique, McBride saud he is constantly working to get better even after winning the prestigious titles that he has and that is worth ethic and drive can sometimes be rare to find in a cowboy of Pacheco’s caliber. Hard work and the drive to want to get better is something McBride is looking for as he waits to see how the bull riders progressive as athletes of the sport within the team format.

“I’m looking forward to see how it elevates this sport, first and foremost the bull riders. I’m looking forward to seeing how much better they can get. For some guys that’s only a little bit but a very little bit takes them from being really good to great. I’m excited for the fans to get to view it this way, I’m excited for it to be presented on tv this way, I’m excited about the whole thing, I really am,” McBride said.

There is a lot that goes into the PBR Team Series and the draft but it was an exciting day for the sport of bull riding that McBride says he hopes the bull riders fully enjoyed.
