Rocker Steiner said a few weeks ago on Western Sports Round-Up that he wanted to win a lot of rodeos and make the NFR. He continued his hot start toward that goal in Denver on Saturday night.

Through four performances, Seth Hardwick was the only bareback rider with two rides in the 80s, but that changed thanks to Cole Franks and several other during the last two Saturday performances at the National Western.
Seth Hardwick has had a great two days in the first flight of bareback riders. He split second in the first performance on Thursday night with 80.5 and won the performance on Friday afternoon with 82 points on Big Rafter’s Dark Rose.

After the field was whittled from 16 down to eight at The American Rodeo, some of the best bareback riders on the planet were one step closer to the $100,000 (or $1 million) prize.
