PRCA Bull Riding Standings Update, Sept 21: How Big Will Stetson Wright’s Lead Grow?
It isn’t a question of whether Stetson Wright will enter the NFR at No. 1 in the PRCA Bull Riding World Standings, but a question of how big his lead will be.
Wright has a lead of over $80,000 over Ky Hamilton, who himself has earned $240,664 on the year. Wright, who is headed to the Cinch Playoffs Governor’s Cup, where he could make an additional $50,000, currently has $324,127 to his name.
1. Stetson Wright, $324,127
Stetson has been on a tear of late. After placing second at the Cinch Playoffs in Puyallup, Wright went on to place third at the New Mexico State Fair and Rodeo to earn over $3,000. He followed that up with a win worth almost $30,000 at the Pendleton Xtreme Bulls and a second-place finish in the Average at the Pendleton Round-Up. In his most recent ride, Wright placed second at the Lion’s Dixie Roundup. Wright has opened up an $80,000 lead over Ky Hamilton and will enter the NFR in the No. 1 position.
15. Cullen Telfer, $123,720
Looking at the bubble, Cullen Telfer is on the hot seat with a $6,000 lead over Jestyn Woodward who remains in play for an NFR appearance. Telfer’s last check came at the Pendleton Xtreme Bulls Finale where he placed fourth to earn just under $3,000. Telfer’s most recent win came the second week of September at the New Mexico State Fair Xtreme Bulls where he earned $6,800 after a 90-point ride.
16. Jestyn Woodward, $117,415
Woodward has some ground to make up in the final week of the season as he trails Telfer by $6,000. Woodward had plenty of opportunity to make up ground but has failed to earn a check in his last six rides. Woodward’s last check came on September 9 where he earned just over $1,000 at the Lewiston Roundup.
