The 2021 Resistol Rookie of the Year in the bareback riding, Cole Franks, will be out for a couple weeks with a wrist injury.
According to ProRodeo.com, Franks injured his riding hand outside of the arena. Franks finished third in the 2021 PRCA Bareback Riding World Standings and is No. 6 in 2022. He won the National Western in Denver and the Dixie National in Mississippi early in the season.
Franks initially hurt his wrist on May 2, but rode in Guymon five days later. He told ProRodeo.com he hopes to ride at the College National Finals Rodeo, which begins June 12 and will likely return to PRCA action on June 22 in Pecos or Springdale.
