South Dakota’s Eli Lord Becomes Two-Time Cheyenne Frontier Days Steer Wrestling Champion

Eli Lord has added a second Cheyenne Frontier Day title to his long list of accomplishments after he was a 5.9 in the Short Round on Sunday.

“It really does. It feels great. It’s a surreal moment for me standing up here again. I’ve been coming to this rodeo with my dad since I was three or four years old, it’s always been my favorite rodeo and it’s just a great moment right here for me,” Lord said.

It had been 20 years since a steer wrestler was a two-time Champion at the Daddy of ‘Em All and Lord broke the streak on Championship Sunday to turn his season around.
