Shane and Taylor Hanchey’s Bo’s Boil N Geaux Brings A Taste of Louisiana to Those on the Rodeo Road

Louisiana cowboy Shane Hanchey shares his Cajun roots through Bo’s Boil N Geaux, offering traditional Louisiana cuisine and embodying the cowboy way of life.

Louisiana cowboy Shane Hanchey stays true to his roots in all aspects of his life from tying calves to cooking crawfish.

Hanchey is best known for his talent inside the rodeo arena as he has fourteen National Finals Rodeo qualifications under his belt and a World Title to his name. Hanchey prides himself on being a Louisiana native and wanted to share their traditional cuisine with cowboys across the country.

“I just always wanted to bring a little bit of Louisiana with me,” Hanchey said.

In 2019, Hanchey and his wife Taylor, opened Bo’s Boil N Geaux, a mobile food trailer that specializes in crawfish, etouffee, gumbo and more Cajun classics. For the past four years the business has thrived as they travel to events such as the Bob Feist Invitational as well as sticking close to home in Stephenville, Texas.

Taylor Hanchey is a household name in rodeo as well as she has competed at the Finals in both barrel racing and breakaway roping.

“I named it Bo’s Boil N Geaux after Taylor’s barrel horse that she set the arena record on at the NFR in 2013, the year we met,” Hanchey said.

Due to the Hanchey’s busy travel schedule throughout the summer, Bo’s Boil N Geaux is primarily open throughout crawfish season, however, with catering available for major events, the food truck turns out to be a year-round operation.

Both Shane and Taylor pride themselves on providing top of the line crawfish and enjoy not only cooking for their customers but meeting them and supplying great food to the community.

“The cowboy way of life, it strives in the food business too. If you treat people good and you have a good product, they’re going to love you.”
