Riley Webb Gets Early Season Lead with National Western Championship

Riley Webb is fresh off of his first ProRodeo season where he dominated the Resistol Rookie race and made his first NFR. He is starting his 2023 off the same way by winning the National Western Stock Show and Rodeo.

Webb got faster with each run he made inside the Denver Coliseum. A 7.2-second run in the Final Round cinched him the championship.

“It’s great, you know the first big rodeo of the year, get it kicked off with a win, that’s awesome. Hopefully take the momentum into Fort Worth and the rest of the winter,” Webb said.

As the first tie-down roper out on Sunday, his gameplan was be smart and make the best run he can. He did that and is sitting No. 1 in the World with an early season lead.
