The Santa Maria Elks Rodeo had beautiful weather, terrific rodeo action and paid at least $2,500 to every winner, with some banking more than $5,000.


The Old Fort Days Rodeo paid out more than $100,000 and all of the winners cashed the checks of more than $2,000 in Arkansas.

Clayton Biglow has already won six rodeos this season and five of them have come in his home state of California. On Friday night in Santa Maria, he put himself in position for a sixth.

Kade Bruno won the Redding Rodeo two weeks ago and now he’s in position to continue his California success after an 85.5 point ride on Thursday night in Santa Maria.
The 2022 National Finals Breakaway Roping will be held at the South Point Arena in Las Vegas on Nov. 29-30. The event will serve as an extension of the NFR, which begins on Dec. 1.
