The final long round performance of the Texas Swing has arrived in San Angelo. Tonight’s performance will determine which athletes return for the Finals of the San Angelo Stock Show and Rodeo to fight for a championship.

BAREBACK RIDING

Nine-time National Finals bareback rider Tilden Hooper is back in the Texas Swing after an injury sidelined him for the 2023 season. His matchup in San Angelo is an NFR horse of J Bar J’s, River Bugs, who also happens to be a rematch for Hooper. The two put a 90.5 on the board at the Yellowstone Riggin Rally in 2020.

STEER WRESTLING

A 3.6 is still the fastest tine we have seen in San Angelo and it leads both Go-Rounds. Jacob Talley is looking for his second Texas Swing win and his second San Angelo title. He needs to be a 9.8 on two to move into the Top 12.

TEAM ROPING

A 14.0 on two head would get any of these teams into the Top 12 and bring them back for the Finals and Pedro Egurrola and JC Flake still have momentum swinging in their favor.

TIE-DOWN ROPING

A three-way tie leads Round 2 while Riley Webb’s 6.9 is holding strong in Round 1. Two-time NFR cowboy Riley Pruitt is the last tie-down roper out in San Angelo and he needs to beat 18.0 seconds on two head.

BREAKAWAY ROPING

It is a loaded roster of breakaway including Jordan Jo Hollabaugh and Jill Tanner. Hollabaugh has been quick this Texas Swing while Tanner is no stranger to a big win. A 5.5 on two would land them inside the Top 12.
