Macza Pro Rodeo’s OLS Tubs Stevie Knicks and OLS Tubs Get Smart Claim Canadian Bucking Horse Titles
Canadian stock contractor, Ward Macza of Macza Pro Rodeo, has two unbelievably talented horses that have added to their already long list of accolades.
OLS Tubs Stevie Knicks has been named Canadian Bareback Horse of the Year for the third time. Canadian Professional Rodeo Association General Manager Denny Phipps describes her as the reigning queen of Canada, much like her namesake Stevie Knicks was the reigning queen of rock and roll.
“This mare is so full of heart and try! We are so proud of have her on our trailer, she keeps us on the edge of our seats every time we watch her buck,” said Macza Pro Rodeo on social media.
As for the Saddle Bronc Horse of the Year, retiring OLS Tubs Get Smart is going out with a bang. He is now a six-time Canadian Saddle Bronc Horse of the Year. Only four more cowboys will get the chance to ride the legendary bronc as he nears the end of his farewell tour.
“He has had an incredible career, and this year was ne exception. He truly loves his job and gives it his all every single time he bucks. It is sad knowing he will not be jumping on the trailer for the 2023 rodeo season, but we are so happy to be able to give him a much deserved retirement,” Macza Pro Rodeo said.
With the Canadian Finals approaching it is game on for cowboys and broncs. OLS Tubs Stevie Knicks and OLS Tubs Get Smart are two to keep an eye out for in Red Deer.
