Josh Edwards is heading towards yet another worldly adventure that few get to experience.
The Mongol Derby is 40 contestants competing in a 600+ mile long race on horseback that follows the mail route of Genghis Khan through taxing terrain of the Mongolian wilderness.
“It’s strategic, as far as the race is concerned and then you add the element of adventure, camping (out on the mountains or in the plains). There’s a lot to manage,” he said. “To me, it culminates all of the things that interest me, which is why it was perfect fit for me to get selected for the race.”
Although Edwards is preparing with specific diet and training, it is still a race that will test limits and fuel his adrenaline. They don’t call it the world’s longest horse race for nothing.
