Damian Brennan Breaks Down Big Texas Swing

Damian Brennan is No. 1 in the World thanks to two wins at major Texas Swing Rodeos

Damian Brennan is heading into the final week of the Texas Swing as the No. 1 Saddle Bronc Rider after two big wins over the Texas Swing.

Brennan won his first rodeo of the year at the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo which earned him over $20,000 in total.

That win got his season off to a great start, something he said he hadn’t experienced before.

“It’s huge. I’ve never had a good winter before, so being able to come out and win the first rodeo I go to in Fort Worth, it’s massive. It kind of gets the ball rolling and once you get that ball rolling it feels like you’re unstoppable,” Brennan said on his start to the year.”

Brennan went on to win the Dixie National before his next big showing which came at RodeoHouston. Entering the rodeo, Brennan knew what was on the line.

“You always try and think you’re in the practice pen, but I don’t care who you are, you’re going get nervous when you’re riding for $50,000.”

While Brennan said he had nerves going into the shootout round, it didn’t show as he was marked 91 points on The Cervi Brothers Rodeo’s R Watson Ed Bishop to get the win.

As Brennan heads to San Angelo to complete the Texas Swing, he currently holds a lead of $48,728 over Statler Wright who sits in the No. 2 spot. That lead is greater than Statler’s lead over the No. 15 spot in the Saddle Bronc World Standings.
