Brittany Pozzi Tonozzi was second out in Round Six while Emily Beisel was second to last and both brought in times of 13.57 seconds.
After a trying year, Pozzi Tonozzi’s mare Birdie stepped up to get Pozzi Tonozzi her first round win in 11 years.
“It’s pretty special. The last time I won a go-round I was here on Duke and that’s been 11 years. I didn’t know if I’d get it done this year. This is a really amazing feeling, I didn’t remember how good it felt,” Pozzi Tonozzi said.
Beisel made adjustments from Round Five and with Chongo working hard and hustling, this Round Six win was Beisel’s second go-round win this year.
