Ward Macza Talks Award Winning Bucking Horses OLS Tubs Get Smart and OLS Tubs Stevie Knicks

Macza Pro Rodeo’s OLS Tubs Get Smart and OLS Tubs Stevie Knicks recently won Canadian Bucking Horses of the Year titles going into the Canadian Finals Rodeo.

OLS Tubs Get Smart has been one of Ward Macza best broncs going down the road for years. Now, OLS Tubs Get Smart is in his final year of his career with only four trips left before he is retired on Macza’s ranch. The bronc’s list of accolades is long and distinguished with multiple Canadian Horse of the Year titles, World Champion Saddle Bronc Horse in 2019 and more.

“I plan on retiring him at the end of the year, not because he doesn’t want to buck or still can’t buck as good as he ever did but he’s coming up sore he tries so hard… He’s been so good for so long,” said Macza.

OLS Tubs Get Smart had reached every goal that Macza ever set for the horse. He is a horse that cowboys love and respect and for Macza, that is one of the things he is most proud of.

OLS Tubs Stevie Knicks is another prized bucking horse of Macza’s. The 10-year old mare is the prime of her career and already an acclaimed bucking horse that cowboys get excited to draw.

“She’s just one of them special horses because she bucks the right way. She bucks hard… but darn sure the kind that we’re all looking for and they’re like finding a good woman. They don’t come in bunches so I’m pretty happy to have her,” Macza said.

OLS Tubs Stevie Knicks has a style that makes her one of the best bareback horses on the road. Since she was six years old she has been selected for the NFR, she is multi-time Canadian Bareback Horse of the Year, bareback horse of the Calgary Stampede and more. The Macza mare is undeniable and unforgettable with many years left in her career.
