Bodee Lammers sits No. 3 in the Resistol Rookie Standings and he is inside the Top 30 in the PRCA World Standings as he heads to Fort Smith, Arkansas for the Old Fort Days Rodeo.
The rookie bareback rider has an 84-riding percentage with an average score of 76.58 and two round wins under his belt. He got a huge win early on in his career this year when he won the Red Bluff Round-Up in California on the legendary C5 bucking horse, Virgil, to make his rookie year that much sweeter.
“When I initially got the call backs, Cole Franks he sent me a picture of it, and I thought he was kidding… the nerves kind of set in and I got nervous but I showed up and they ran that big grey horse in there and the nerves kind of went away and I was there to do business. And he did his job and I felt like I matched him jump for jump,” Lammers said.
He is chasing two rookies that are just as hungry, Rocker Steiner and Waylon Bourgeois and the summer run is 15 days away. The Rookie Race in the bareback riding will be one that you want to keep an eye on.
