At just 20 years old, Tyler Calhoun has made a name for himself in professional rodeo by earning the title of 2025 Resistol Rookie of the Year in Tie Down Roping. In his first season competing at this level, Calhoun finished an impressive No. 17 in the PRCA World Standings, closing the year with $110,637 in season earnings.
Before stepping into the professional ranks, Calhoun had already proven himself as one of the brightest young talents in the sport. Representing Southwest Texas College, he captured a College National Finals Rodeo championship, as well as having success at the junior and high school levels.
