Cooper Martin placed in three of four rounds and won the Finals and the Average to win the tie-down roping buckle at the Red Bluff Round-Up over the weekend.
“I just try to keep the blinders on and do my job,” he said. “If I stick to that, it usually works, I had two stronger calfs earlier in the week and had a pretty good one today.”
Martin finished with an aggregate time of 41.7 seconds on four, which won him the rodeo by 1.5 seconds. He was 9.8 in the Finals and his fastest time of the week was an 8.7 in Round 1.
Martin is currently No. 15 in the PRCA World Standings.
