Kincade Henry is off to a great start in San Antonio. He stopped the clock at 9.0 seconds to get the Bracket 3 Round 1 win and earn that $2,500 that puts him a good position going forward. He got that time on a pen of calves that we have seen the best of the best have trouble with in San Antonio.
“All these calves are pretty strong and I had a better one on the pen and it just all worked out,” Henry said.
Part of why it all worked out is because of the roan horse that Henry backs into the box on. He calls him Mario and this horse has been a game changer for Henry in his rodeo game.
“I’ve said it before, I have so much confidence in him, it’s unreal. Whenever I back into the box, I know I’m there to win,” Henry said on his equine partner.
They move on to semifinals based on money earned in San Antonio. Henry cashed in $2,500, while Riley Pruitt earned $2,000, Chance Oftedahl got $1,500 and Andrew Burks got $1,000.
