Garrett Shadbolt Cashes In A Round Win In The Bareback At San Antonio

Garrett Shadbolt powered through a hard left turn to rack up 84 points and the Bracket 3 Round 1 win at the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo on Cervi Brother’s Greeley Hat Works.

“I had to make that corner and caught her pretty high up in the neck, which is supposed to be more points, and came around with her. That horse is shedding off her winter hair and there was white hair flying everywhere and I think it made for a pretty good look,” Shadbolt said about Greeley Hat Works.

When Shadbolt is not on the rodeo road he raises cattle with his family in Nebraska. It is about to be calving season but if Shadbolt keeps riding like we know he can, he’ll be on the road during that part of the season. He couldn’t pass up the opportunity to tease his family about staying home to calve while he hits the next big rodeo.

Australian Jamie Howlett cashed in a second place check with an 82.5 while Jacob Raine and Tim O’Connell finished in the top four to get their San Antonio trip started right.
