Shad Mayfield Wins Semifinal B in Fort Worth With 7.4 Second Run

Tie-down roper Shad Mayfield tied for the second fastest time of the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo in Semifinal B with a 7.4 second run.

After his run, Mayfield had a quick conversation with six-time PRCA Tie-Down Roping World Champion Roy Cooper.

“He just told me good run, but the rest I probably don’t need to say on here,” Mayfield said with a laugh.

Mayfield qualified for the Semifinals through the Wild Card round. His run was 7.8 seconds to finish second behind Cory Solomon’s 7.6.

Kincade Henry, Quade Hiatt and Tuf Cooper will round out the field for Saturday night’s clean slate Finals.
