Saddle Bronc Rider Cash Wilson Talks Second Place Finishes at Cinch World’s Toughest in Columbus and Des Moines

Cash Wilson leads the Resistol Rookie Standings and is No. 13 in the PRCA World Standings in the young 2022 season and a lot of that is due to his success at Cinch World’s Toughest Rodeos in January.

At the World’s Toughest in Des Moines, which concluded on Jan. 8, he was second on Three Hills Rodeo’s Jumbo Jet with 81 points.

The next weekend in Columbus, he was even better, scoring 87 points aboard Three Hills’ Dandilion. Those two finishes have made up about one third of the $12,530 he has earned so far this season.

“That was a young horse, there weren’t many stats on him at all, I just was rolling with that one,” he said. “The World’s Toughest, they’ve been good to me lately, it’s been fun.”

Wilson says he is not focused on the Resistol Rookie of the Year race, instead he has his eyes on the ultimate prize - the NFR.
