Dalton Massey is barely out of the Top 15, sitting No. 16 in the world right now.
He joined Steve Kenyon on Western Sports Round-Up to relive his big win at Guymon Pioneer Days Rodeo this past week.
Massey was 4.3 seconds in Round 1, 4.2 in Round 2 and 3.7 in Round 3, making him 12.2 on three head to win the rodeo.
“I wanted to get great starts and bulldog good, we took Monroe (his go-to horse) down there and got my feet on the ground every time in a good spot and just ended up making good runs......The third round, I come back, I hadn’t won any money yet and knew I needed to make a great run to win something. I blew the barrier out and it worked out.”
Massey also placed in a round in Clovis, California and Redmond, Oregon in recent weeks.
