J.R. Stratford on his shoulder injury and recovery

J.R. Stratford is going to be a bull rider to watch in the future. Fresh off of a shoulder injury, he won the first rodeo he competed at by riding High Expectations for 93.5 points to set the arena record in Rapid City.

Stratford is only 18-years-old and is already 4-for-4 at the four PRCA rodeos he has competed at in his career.

Stratford now plans to hit the road hard coming off a shoulder surgery he had in October.

After a bad get-off, he was stepped on by a bull in September and tore his labrum on his free arm. After a lot of physical therapy, he was back in about three months as he got on a practice bull on Jan. 23.
