Stetson Wright is your Saddle Bronc Champion at the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo after a record-setting 92.5-point ride on Ricky Bobby. We shouldn’t
be surprised at the ride as the Cervi Brother’s Bronc was the bronc that Wright won the World Title on in 2021.
“I was one of the last picks so I was just shocked that they didn’t pick him. I just thought that this is just perfect for me.”
Wright was marked 92.5 points to win the title, edging out both Chase Brooks and 2022 World Champion Zeke Thurston who each went 90.5 points. Overall, Wright has made more than $112,000 on the season, more than $71,000 of which has come in the saddle bronc riding.
“I’m really happy. I drew good, but I still had to do my job. I’m just tickled pink with the way things are going.”
Stetson is No. 1 in the All-Around and Saddle Bronc World Standings and No. 2 in the Bull Riding World Standings behind San Antonio winner Jeff Askey.
