Statler Wright and Calgary Stampede’s Urgent Delivery Stack Up For 90 to Get Bracket 5 Sweep

Wright dominated Bracket 5 with rides of 88.5 and 90 points

The youngest of the Wright brother’s went to work at the legendary Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo. After making an 88.5-point ride to split the Round 1 win, Statler Wright had the matchup to go the distance in Round 2. Aboard Calgary Stampede’s Urgent Delivery, Wright landed on top of the leaderboard again, this time with a 90-point ride.

“I knew coming into today that that horse was going to be extremely strong and a horse that I’m going to have to keep gassing it, keep lifting. She came around in that tight circle and she got me popped loose but I could always hear my dad in the back of my head saying ‘gas it’ so I just kept gassing it,” Wright said.

Wright is the No. 1 cowboy moving on to the Semifinals from Bracket 5 with Lefty Holman right behind him and Allen Boore headed to the Wildcard.

Between himself, Stu and Ryder, there was a stretch over the weekend where a member of the Wright family won five straight rounds inside Dickies Arena.
