Sixty Years of Abbyville Frontier Days

Abbyville, Kansas is home to the 2022 PRCA Small Rodeo of the Year. Drawing in people from all across state of Kansas, it is a destination rodeo that all should attend.

It has a legacy that made the committee proud to have earned that title, not for them, but for those that came before them and put in the foundation for the Abbyville Frontier Days 60 years ago.

“The community plus the rodeo atmosphere and sticking true to their roots, it’s so historic and so we’re going on maybe 60 years, even just that is a wonderful accomplishment in itself,” Kennadee Riggs, Miss Rodeo America 2023 said.

Miss Rodeo America 2023 is seeing why this rodeo was the Small Rodeo of the Year in the flesh for the first time while four-time National Finals Rodeo qualifier Emily Beisel says that if you haven’t been to Abbyville, you need to go.

“This is rodeo. That is what Abbyville is, this is rodeo. This is rodeo family at its finest,” Beisel said.

The 2023 Abbyville Frontier Days champions have been crowned but nect year, add this one to your list.
