Presley Smith left it all in the Cowtown Coliseum Arena in April of 2022 when she won the first ever Cowboy Channel Rookie Roundup presented by Resistol. The Louisiana cowgirl did it all on a horse that tried to sell multiple times, but it turns out, that’s the horse that would help her achieve some big things.

After winning the Rookie Roundup, the young gun continued down the rodeo road and took home wins from the Mount Pleasant Rodeo in Texas, Hugo Pro Rodeo in Oklahoma and the Strawberry Days Rodeo in Utah. She found the pay window at many more including the Parker County Sheriff’s Posse Frontier Days Rodeo in Texas and at the Daddy of ‘Em All in Wyoming where she made it to the Finals and finished fourth. Smith wrapped up her rookie year with a payday in Heber City, Utah at the Moutain Valley Stampede.

Smith’s 2023 season started with her cashing on runs at three different Texas rodeo’s before she took on the Southeastern Circuit Finals to finish fifth in the average.

She made a swing in Florida and Georgia that added over $5,000 to her season earnings before she came back to Texas and made the Finals at Rodeo Austin. Making two sub-15 second runs, Smith finished third in Austin.

She is currently the No. 35 ranked barrel racer in the world with a long career of barrel racing ahead of her.
