No one has dominated either Super Series in RodeoHouston the way Ky Hamilton dominated Super Series II.
The Aussie bull rider struggled through of much of February, but got things going in the right direction at the end of San Antonio after practicing with the 2013 and 2015 PBR World Champion JB Mauney.
“At the start of the year, I was having a lot of trouble in Denver and Fort Worth,” he said. “Lately, I’ve been getting on a lot of practice bulls and its been helping keeping everything sharp. It just feels like second nature.”
Hamilton kept that momentum going into RodeoHouston, where he was 3-for-3 with three round wins to win $9,000 toward the PRCA World Standings. He is the only cowboy with a clean sweep so far.
The other Super Series II roughstock winners were Cole Reiner, who won two rounds, in the the bareback riding and Tanner Butner in saddle bronc riding.
In the timed events, it was Jesse Brown (steer wrestling), Dawson Graham/Dillon Graham (team roping), Shannon Griffin (barrel racing) and Cadee Williams (breakaway roping) claiming the top spots.
