Riley Duvall gets Important Win in Salinas

Riley Duvall came into Salinas $9,357 out of the No. 15 spot in the Steer Wrestling World Standings. He needed to win the rodeo, and thanks to a 5.6-second run in the Shootout round on Sunday, he did just that.

At the rodeo, Duvall won $16,249 and will likely be making his fourth career NFR appearance.

After the win, Duvall said, “I had to win first to have a shot. I am pretty close now, I don’t know, I might be safe. It was first or last right there. Thank the Lord it worked out I was very blessed.”

Duvall was riding Rockhouse, a horse five-time world champion steer wrestler Luke Branquinho and Tucker Allen are partners on.

“Luke Branquinho let me ride his horse, and he was awesome. I just want to say hi to my friends and family at home they helped me so much and I love you all.”
