NFR pair Rhen Richard/Jeremy Buhler were the most consistent of the team ropers in Pool 1 in Denver.
They notched a second place finish in Round 1 and a third place finish in Round 2 and were the only team to have back-to-back times faster than 6 seconds.
“This format, if you catch two clean, you’re probably going to make it back,” Richard said. “Luckily, we just kind of made our run, we had two pretty good steers and it worked out.”
“My gameplan stays the same every time,” Buhler added when asked if the new format impacted him at all. “It’s pretty simple, just try to get to a good spot and heel ‘em as soon as I can.”
The Top 3 in each pool advance to the Semifinals and Ty Arnold/Kaden Profili and Jake Orman/Brye Crites will be joining Richard/Buhler from Pool 1.
