Ryder Wright has gotten off to a hot start at the 2020 NFR, placing in all four rounds, and claiming his second go-round win in Round 4. Wright won the round with an 89.5-point ride on Vold Rodeo’s Sun Glow.
Ryder has closed the gap between him and first place Wyatt Casper. He now trails Casper by just $13,000 in the World Standings.
In bareback riding, Tim O’Connell got a much needed round win after struggling in the first three rounds. O’Connell is going for his fourth World Title and after the Round 4 win, he currently has a $28,000 lead over Kaycee Feild who sits in second place.
O’Connell knew the importance of getting things back on track after his early struggles.
“It was only Round 4, but this thing could’ve gotten out of hand pretty quickly,” O’Connell said. “There is a handful of us who are in a dirty knife fight for this gold buckle, and I’m not going out without a fight.”
