Hailey Kinsel is vying for her third straight Barrel Racing World Title after winning Round 4 on Sunday. It was a battle between the top-two in the world with Brittany Pozzi Tonozzi took the lead with a 17.13-second, but that lead would not last long.
Kinsel responded with a time of 17.09 seconds and took the round. The crowd showed their appreciation for the competitors with what may have been the loudest roar of the night. This was Kinsel’s second round win of the 2020 NFR.
“They’re all special,” Kinsel said of the go-round win. “I’ve never won Round 4, so that’s kind of cool and it’s different. This is the wildest shirt I’ve ever worn, as we’ve addressed, so kind of glad I wore something fun and won a round in it instead of the usual blue or denim or stripes. The ground’s a little bit different and I’m moving back up through the rotation, so I get top of the drag tomorrow, so that’s kind of nice.”
Kinsel currently sits in first place in the World Standings with 6 rounds to go.
