Breakaway roper KeAnn Hayes was 3.5 seconds Saturday afternoon, matching Martha Angelone for the best time of the entire Cheyenne Frontier Days. The Semifinal 2 win paid Hayes more than $6,000.
“We’re having fun out here, so you have to use every good calf you get,” she said. “It sure is (a lot of fun when you win).”
Joey Williams was second at 3.8, making it the first performance that saw multiple times faster than 4 seconds flat. There have been a total of five such runs at The Dad this year.
Joining Hayes and Williams in the Finals from Semifinal 2 are Anna Callaway, Misti Brown, Kayelen Helton and Brandy Schaack. You can watch them all compete on The Cowboy Channel and Cowboy Channel+ beginning at 2 PM ET.
