As the 2023 rodeo season is now in full swing, we are taking a look back at the top three highest marked stock scores of 2022.
Xplosive Skies of Calgary Stampede tied for second place in the Stock Market Report with 47 points as the horse matched up with Cole Reiner at the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo for a combined score of 87 points. Logan Hay would later go on to set the saddle bronc riding world record on Xplosive Skies with a 95.5-ride at the Hardgrass Bronc Match in Alberta.
Pete Carr Pro Rodeo’s Night Faded claimed second place as well with 47 points at Rodeo Houston where Will Lowe earned a total score of 88 points.
The No.1 highest marked bareback ride of the season took place in Darby, Montana where Rocker Steiner matched up with C5 Rodeo Company’s Virgil at the Riggin’ Rally to set the all-time world record with 95 points. Virgil scored a total of 47.5 points to go down in bareback riding history.
