The Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo has completed six of its seven Long Round brackets and this week’s Semifinal and Wild Card fields are almost solidified.
The roughstock events in Bracket 6 saw Jacob Lees advance out of the Semifinals at the FWSSR for the first time in his career in the bareback riding, two 89-point scores win each Go-Rould in the saddle bronc riding, and 21-year-old TJ Gray bank over $2,400 in the bull riding after being a late addition to the rodeo lineup.
In the timed events, Don Payne turned in consecutive 4.7s to win the steer wrestling, fan favorite pairs Coleman Proctor/Logan Medlin and Cody Snow/Wesley Thorp advanced in the team roping, Ty Harris won a tough tie-down roping and Summer Kosel placed in the Top 2 twice in the barrel racing.
